Student Page of the Ocean Acoustic Library

Purpose

The student webpage of the Ocean Acoustic Library is designed to put students in contact with professors, research oportunities and fellow students interested in the field of ocean acoustics.

Research Internships

Here is a webpage listing of research opportunities in ocean acoustics and engineering that I have come across. Some really good summer research programs are also listed. These are some of the most valuable experiences a graduate student can have. If you know of anymore research programs please contact me, so I can include them.

Matlab Files

MATLAB is probably the most common language used by young students. MATLAB tips & Tricks is a webpage devoted to the collection of Matlab tips & tricks, tailored to the needs of oceanography students. Tips, tricks and solutions, as well as your "how to" questions. It is a webpage maintained by Andrey Shcherbina at SIO.

Fellowships

Acoustical Society of America Fellowships, Scholarships, Prizes and Grants. Each year the ASA awards the Frederick V. Hunt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Acoustics the Minority Fellowship, the Raymond H. Stetson Scholarship in Phonetics and Speech Science and the Medwin Prize in Acoustical Oceanography.
